Calendar Art

This year, our calendar art is inspired by our Term 3 inquiry into Icons of New Zealand.
We dyed our background using two colours.
The students then chose three icons.
The first icon was made using dye and line drawing.
The second icon was made by scraping designs in wet paint.
The third icon was made using 'scratch art': painting over crayon then scratching it.
We then took a photograph in a fun pose.

We hope you like them!

Chinese Language Week

Ni hao,
We celebrated Chinese Language Week today
with some songs and a special stick dance led by Liu Laoshi.
The sticks went-  out in in, out in in.
We tried to tap our feet between the sticks - in, out out,
then step across without touching the sticks.
Lots of fun.

Cross Country

We had a great day today at Cross Country.
I was impressed with the way everyone 'put their best foot forward' 😀
Congratulations to the students who made the top 3.
And well done to everyone for a great day.
